CrossFit is based around the ethos of constantly varied movement. So what does that actually mean?
Every session is an hour and different, normally split into a strength section and a workout section (WOD).
The strength section of the class can be a strength program we are following, Olympic lifts or complexes. The focus is primarily on technique and there is a starting point for everyone. Don’t think you have to have been to the Olympics to have a go at the olympic lifts.
The workout section is so varied it’s hard to describe. There are long aerobic workouts (30min), EMOMs (doing a movement every minute on the minute) It’s a bit like circuits. AMRAPs (As many reps as possible in a time frame). Hero workouts, long and hard, a great way to challenge yourself. You are guaranteed never to get bored and to always be challenged.
The best thing about the class is you are doing it with a friendly supportive group of fellow Crossfitters!
